Colorful skirts move to the beat of the music. In every movement there is a dream realized, years of discrimination and violence are in the past. This group of trans women build their own dreams never before imaginable. Today they can dance. Behind, in another space were left the boots and the hat, today they move a skirt with airs of freedom.

"We want to be free. Childhood, youth, adolescence have to be free and you must decide what you want to be in life," says Susana Barrales, leader of the transgender women's community in Tijuana. Today there are 21 women who dance and achieve their dreams that they could not fulfill when they were children.

She and her colleagues have created a folkloric dance group in Tijuana through the association Casita UT, where women of the trans community who have come to Tijuana and were discriminated against in their places of origin belong. Today, thanks to music and dance, they live a new life in this city.

"Every time I dance I feel free, I get tired, I get tired because I am a human being. But they are moments of peace, it gives you tranquility, it gives you pride and it gives you satisfaction. I'm dancing for that inner girl who couldn't make it," says Brigitte Luján. Member of the Trans Community in Tijuana.

Barrales adds that they are "being part of our dreams. On the union of the different members, she emphasizes: "Because when I was little I wanted to wear a skirt, that's when you say we have the connection and the desire to wear a skirt. Now I am looking at the results and the teacher who is teaching us is surprised".

Susana, Brigitte and their partners dance every Sunday in the rehearsal room of CECUT, an institution that supports them with the space and the teacher who guides them. The project leader has received messages from all over Mexico and the United States from women who want to join this project.

"Many compañeras from the republic and from the other side of the border are communicating with me, and I hope that this is not the first one, that there will be thousands," Barrales said. The first presentation of this group will be in November in Ciudad del Carmen, Campeche.
