October 5, 2022. Congress of Morelos.
Some of the deputies decided to form a bloc called the fourteen so that with their votes they could be the majority and together they could bring up important issues such as the budget. At the end of the session between 4:00 and 4:30 p.m., Morelos convulses and not for less, around 5:00 p.m. in broad daylight, two armed assassins on board a motorcycle shoot at the local deputy Gabriela Marín in the municipality of Cuernavaca and take her life.
Upon learning of this, the bloc of deputies, now the thirteen, organized themselves and decided to arrive at the scene of the events. That tragic afternoon and dark night, the bloc opposed to the thirteen did not join the important, the urgent, the human. Time hurt, indignation grew and moved the deputies, for Morena: Paola Cruz, Macrina Vallejo and Alejandro Martinez. For PAN: Andy Gordillo, Oscar Cano, Francisco Sánchez and Ángel Adame. For Nueva Alianza: Agustín Alonso and Verónica Rubio. For Movimiento Ciudadano, Luz Dary Quevedo and Julio Cesar Solis, and for PT, Tania Valentina Rodriguez.

The clock struck 2:00 a.m. when they decided to travel together without an appointment to the National Palace, uncertainty and hope were the clue that led them to the search for certainties, for a complicated but necessary dialogue with President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
Upon arrival, they stood guard and waited patiently until they were received by national security personnel. Five hours later, they were admitted to one of the rooms and upon entering they found themselves in front of familiar faces: Alejandro Encinas, Undersecretary of Human Rights, Population and Migration, Adán Augusto, Secretary of the Interior, and Rosa Icela Rodríguez, head of the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC).
From the welcome, they went on to give voice to the consternation that had moved them, the anguish, the concern, the figures and the fear were exposed. Congresswoman Tania Valentina Rodriguez even said that she has been the target of threats and attacks by Ulises Bravo (brother of Cuauhtemoc Blanco) and that there is even a complaint before the state attorney general's office.
The walls witnessed the events that the deputies narrated about the critical situation in Morelos, Governor Blanco's tantrum and the attacks against him through the microphones of the media in Morelos allied to him for achieving the block of 14 and although it was a respectful dialogue, -because they let them speak-, that ended until Adán Augusto took the floor:
"Deputies, here the Governor (Cuauhtémoc Blanco) is not leaving and for the situation to change in Morelos, we need to change the Prosecutor (Uriel Carmona) and the Prosecutor will not be appointed by the Governor, the Prosecutor will be appointed by the President. On Tuesday I will bring the name of the new Prosecutor to be sworn in", he had not finished the sentence when Deputy Julio interrupted Adán Augusto, tempers could get heated, but there was restraint from the people of Morelos. With a clear message and a strong voice, the representative of Movimiento Ciudadano was forceful:
"We don't come here to exchange heads or to knock anyone down. We come here to put you on notice and for you to take action," he said with a tap on the table. Adán Augusto replied: "Ah, well, you don't want to do anything, nothing will be solved, you will continue the same. If you want to do so, go ahead, leave the prosecutor (Uriel Carmona)".
Who had requested a change of Prosecutor? None of those who were there.
Whose interest is it that Uriel Carmona is no longer in Morelos? It is not so difficult to find out.
Alejandro Encinas took the floor at that moment of tension and anger, even indignation because, quite simply, Adán Augusto did not realize at that moment that crime prevention, whether he liked it or not, was the responsibility of the government of Cuauhtémoc Blanco.
According to figures from the Executive Secretariat of the National Public Security System (SESNSP), from January to August 2022, Morelos registered 742 victims of intentional homicide and 25 femicides, one of the highest figures in the country in 2022.
Rosa Icela Rodríguez, always attentive, listened to everyone in the spirit of conciliation, Encinas and Rosa Icela accepted that many of the problems in Morelos have a name: Ulises Bravo.
After Augusto's unfortunate proposal, important issues were addressed: free transfers, budget package, as in all meetings there were agreements, exchanges of telephone numbers, promises of contact, upcoming meetings on agenda, liaisons, the possibility of escorts. None of this happened.
The block of deputies who seek justice in Morelos and demand from the prosecutor and the governor the prevention of crime and the administration of justice of the Judiciary, they are the block of balance in a state in which its budget is no longer voted by 14 but by 15 now with the PRI deputy, Eliasib Saldívar Polanco and voted for the benefit of the people of Morelos by increasing and strengthening the area of insecurity and taking away the resources at the free will of Governor Cuauhtémoc Blanco who moved at will and disposition billions and billions of pesos. Today, in spite of the controversy, Congress is right.
And in politics there are no coincidences, Gabriela Marín was a friend of Ulises Bravo and her murder is no coincidence.
