At what point did they bring the victims demanding justice in Mexico City to their knees with a gun trigger to their temples?

At what point was that weapon allowed to be in the right hand of a presiding judge?

Justice has been hijacked by Rafael Guerra Álvarez, president of the Judiciary of Mexico City, his administration has no commitment to legality, transparency and accountability, but a strong protection to pedophiles and other aggressors, by giving them a VIP ticket to impunity.

The accusations against Rafael Guerra are neither few nor minor and we have to resort to journalistic memory if necessary.

It has been Rafael Guerra who has protected Manuel Horacio Cavazos López, a former magistrate accused by his own daughters of child sexual violence.

He is Rafael Guerra, who has been accused of persecuting mothers who dare to denounce gender violence.

And it is Rafael Guerra who denies access to justice to children and teenagers.

And no ladies and gentlemen, this is not an isolated case.

What Mariel and many other mothers have faced is a rotten system in which pedophiles, aggressors and white-collar criminals find refuge thanks to a complicit judicial apparatus.

Need another case?

Mafer Turrent is a mother who dared to denounce extreme violence and it was Rafael Guerra's judges who decided it was better to imprison her. And there are hundreds of cases like this, no, no, I am not exaggerating.

Another case?

Remember that thanks to a photograph published by Reforma it was possible to verify that Prudencio Jorge González Tenorio, advisor to the president of the Superior Court of Justice of Mexico City, Rafael Guerra met with Jorge Hernández Alcocer outside the Suntory restaurant, the place where the lawyer murdered his wife, singer Yrma Lydya. Of course, in order not to "muddy" the coyote who pursued very high-level cases after being exposed, he was sent punished to the position of "control judge".

One more?

Recently, due to an oversight, in the building where Rafael Guerra works, a photograph showed the fact: Guillermo Sesma, accused and accused of sexual assault, corruption of minors, family violence and pornography, waiting to enter through the open door for aggressors, especially if they are powerful.

Under Rafael Guerra, the CDMX Judiciary has become an obstacle for victims and an immense wall of impunity that protects the aggressors.

It is women and children, who should find protection in the law but in return for raising their voices end up being re-victimized over and over again by a system that protects the powerful and punishes those who demand justice.

And if there is something to recognize Rafael Guerra is that he has achieved what no other president of the PJCDMX has achieved, which is to turn the entire court against him.

NOT WANTED OR RESPECTED by the victims.

NOT WANTED by their own judges and magistrates.

NOT WANTED by their own workers.

Rafael Guerra's administration has been a breeding ground for nepotism, corruption and institutional decomposition.

We have lost count of the number of times the staff has demonstrated and initiated a work stoppage and that is a shame in the face of such a thirst for justice.

Complaints against his management? countless.

Rafael Guerra has been accused of using his power to manipulate sentences, obstruct judicial processes and ensure that his allies go unpunished.

Meanwhile, institutional violence is on the rise: judges acting under pressure and dozens of mothers, women who see how their aggressors walk free without consequences and these scofflaws attack them in every possible way without any punishment for it.

So, kind reader, this is not a simple administrative problem. We are facing a human rights problem of a brutal magnitude. A judicial system that protects rapists, femicides and aggressors in general, is a criminal system.

Rafael Guerra's resignation is non-negotiable! the victims cry out, and his remaining in power is an affront to them and a death sentence for justice in Mexico City.

Each day that he continues to lead the Tribunal is 24 hours of impunity and 1440 minutes of suffering for those who have been violated.

Their permanence is a disgrace for a society that deserves a dignified judicial system.

This is his second term at the head of the institution and there are those who say that he has already appropriated the power and is going for a third term.

Unacceptable!

Rafael Guerra's resignation is not only necessary, it is non-negotiable.

Citizens cannot continue to allow Mexico City's Judiciary to be a timeless refuge for criminals and a hell for victims.

The decision is as always in the court of the Mexico City Congress.

Do we want him to keep going out to the media to exonerate his rapist friends?

Answer that....

Do we want you to justify sexual violence, saying that it is a private matter?

Answer that....

What do we want in a presiding judge?

Enough with the simulations.

Enough of protecting the aggressors.

Enough of justice for a few.

Victims demand his resignation; others, that Rafael Guerra CANNOT be reelected, while history expects him to answer for all the accumulated damage.
