It is difficult to recognize that the attacks perpetrated against those who have aspired to elected office in our country stir consciences. There is not a single reason to write that because it is getting worse and worse. It is not long before this country becomes the violent Colombia of those times with Pablo Escobar.

The phrases after each assassination come and go: "Justice! It is a sad day!" and the only thing that can be seen is that Mexico, whether we want to see it or not, is facing a crisis of insecurity and violence that not only claims the lives of its citizens but also of its candidates and social representatives.

And no, neither the State is firm nor democracy secure. Each assassination is an affront to the institutions and a blatant provocation in which violence is driving the electoral process.
