President López Obrador's pause with the U.S. and Canadian embassies is different from the cause.

The nerves provoked by the Reform to the Judiciary bring out of the closet the kind of North American federation we have become with the signing of the T-MEC -although no one dares to say it- and also, how vulnerable we continue to be before the US due to our economic dependence. That is the cause and also the cause of the tantrums.

That is why the president's pause does not go beyond the embassies and that is also why, no matter how much he has Bolivarian dreams, as he has already expressed in the CELAC forums, reality anchors him in North America, and this is a gentle reminder that battles against geography are rarely won.
