The time when buying an electric car was an unaffordable luxury seems a long time ago. The supply of electric cars in Mexico has grown, offering an immense variety of prices and, at the same time, their sales; In the first half of 2024, electric cars accounted for 7.4% of sales.

This week, BYD, a technology company with expertise in industries related to electronics, renewable energy, rail transit and, yes, electric cars, introduced the Yuan Pro, and its features will make you look at electric cars with different eyes.

It is a 100% electric SUV and, in its category, it is the cheapest: $579,800. But it is not only a vehicle where everything fits, you do not spend on gasoline and contribute to BYD's mission to reduce the planet's temperature by 1 degree Celsius; it also has other features that you would never have imagined.

Can I connect my refrigerator to your car?

For the Yuan, connecting the cell phone or computer to the car is since 1990. It has an adapter that uses the van's battery to connect whatever you need: a microwave, a refrigerator, a coffee maker, a gamer computer... What else can you think of? Ideal for those who love camping. The battery charge yields 380 kilometers (the weapons for a Mexico-Acapulco).

What about security?

It has airbags all around: driver's frontal airbag, front passenger's airbag, front side airbags and integrated front and rear side air curtain.

A rolita?

There's nothing like singing in the car, alone or with the family on the road, and BYD knows it. You can buy as an extra your microphone and take advantage of the integrated karaoke, where you will surely find all your favorite songs. From now on, what does it matter where you left the keys (you start it from your phone)? The usual question will be: Who took my microphone?
