For the past few days, the "Month of Love and Friendship" fever has been intensifying due to the large advertising displays. As a business leader, I am obviously monitoring the forecasts that predict the economic revenue that will be generated at a national level, obviously I wish that the enterprises related to lodging, restaurants, department stores, candy stores, pastry and flower shops, etc., do very well, while I wish that the expressions of love and friendship are really genuine, with intentions to add and contribute, to respect, to value and to enjoy.
Beyond the consumption of this social event, I believe that we should be aware that there is no better way to enjoy these feelings to the fullest, than by cultivating healthy emotional relationships.
I am still shaken by some of the data that were triggered during the confinement caused by the pandemic, when violence against women and girls -in different modalities and types- intensified in countries around the world, recognizing an exponential increase in calls to domestic violence hotlines. As the years go by, will there be significant changes in the statistics? This is a question that requires critical investigation.
