It was a little after 10 p.m. on that June 5, 2009 when the note reached the newsrooms to put an end to the last spark of hope: "those who do not find their children in the hospitals, go to the morgue to seek to identify them."said the then Secretary of Health in the state.

This was the closing of a day that began seven hours earlier when the sound of ambulances began to break the stillness of a city that was preparing for the weekend.

The first news were heard explaining the reason for the smoke plume towards the south of the city. Radio stations urged the population to avoid walking on the streets so as not to interfere with the work of the rescue corps.

Women at the forefront of the debate, leading the way to a more inclusive and equitable dialogue. Here, diversity of thought and equitable representation across sectors are not mere ideals; they are the heart of our community.
