In Mexico, where violence and insecurity have been persistent problems, women entrepreneurs face unique challenges. Currently, 82% of women entrepreneurs operate informally, which limits their access to financing and market opportunities. Without a peaceful environment, it is difficult for these entrepreneurs to thrive and expand their businesses.
Women are a significant labor force, representing 51.2% of the total population in Mexico. However, many operate in vulnerable conditions due to a lack of security. Promoting a peaceful environment not only benefits women entrepreneurs, but also contributes to a more robust and resilient economy.
Access to financing is one of the biggest obstacles faced by women entrepreneurs. According to recent data, only 37% of the enterprises in Mexico are founded by women, and many lack the necessary tools to formalize their businesses.
Women's economic empowerment not only benefits them individually, but also has a positive impact on the national economy. Women-led SMEs allocate a large part of their resources and profits to the community and family, underscoring their contribution to social progress. Studies show that women-led businesses are more profitable and have a faster growth rate.
A peaceful environment generates confidence among investors and consumers. A secure environment allows women entrepreneurs to seek financing and establish solid business relationships. According to studies, businesses operating in peaceful environments tend to be more sustainable and profitable. This is especially relevant for women entrepreneurs, who often face greater difficulties in accessing credit and financial resources.
Peace is also intrinsically related to the promotion of gender equality. In an environment where justice and respect prevail, public policies that support women entrepreneurs, such as training programs and access to financial resources, can be implemented.
The inclusion of women in decision-making processes and business networks strengthens their leadership and visibility in the market.
Women entrepreneurs play a vital role in the Mexican economy, representing a significant part of the labor market. By fostering a peaceful environment, they are enabled to contribute fully to the country's economic growth.
Peace is an essential component for the sustainable growth of women-led businesses in Mexico. Providing a safe and fair environment fosters the confidence necessary for these entrepreneurs to access financing, formalize their businesses, and contribute to the country's economic development.
