A few days ago Claudia Sheinbaum's Plan Mexico was presented, which boasts that at the end of her six-year term or in a few more years she will transform Mexico into an economic, social and environmental power.
1. Position Mexico among the 10 largest economies in the world: Mexico currently ranks 12th and the goal is to climb at least two positions.
2. Increase investment in relation to GDP: Exceed 25% by 2026.
3. Generate 1.5 million additional jobs: in strategic sectors such as specialized manufacturing, information technology and energy.
4. Strengthen domestic production: achieve that 50% of the supply and consumption in strategic sectors is Mexican.
5. Increase domestic content in global value chains: 15% growth in key sectors such as automotive, aerospace, semiconductors and pharmaceuticals.
6. Promote public procurement of national production: Establish that at least 50% of these acquisitions come from products made in Mexico.
7. Domestic production of vaccines: Develop and package vaccines directly in the country.
8. Reduce the time it takes to finalize investments: Simplify procedures from 2.6 to 1 year through a single digital window.
9. Training of professionals for key sectors: Train 150,000 professionals and technicians annually with a focus on dual education.
10. Promote environmental sustainability: Promote investments that prioritize water reuse, clean energy and waste management systems.
Who knows where he got this... What to call him without being derogatory?
Fantasy.
Do you really believe that investors are stupid? Who would want to invest millions of dollars in a country where justice is handed down on a whim? How do you expect to train professionals for key sectors when most teenagers can barely read and write (and very poorly)?
As long as Mexico does not have a true rule of law, an autonomous Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation, an educational system focused on learning and not indoctrination, independent transparency bodies, a solid opposition and a free democracy, all that Plan Mexico promises is just another fable of the cuatroté.
