In the state of Hidalgo, a worrisome case of possible corruption and simulation in the administration of the government headed by Omar Fayad Meneses was recently revealed. An investigation carried out by Áxel Chávez for EMEEQUIS entitled Hidalgo's Other Year: The Missing Links of the Autica Network shows how a group of companies obtained millionaire contracts through direct assignments and simulated competition.
In addition, in some cases companies linked to each other registered for a public bidding offering different services; this allowed them to give the appearance of diversity in the proposals, but in the end the public money ended up being allocated to the same group.
