When Ana Gabriela Guevara sounded to lead CONADE in the distant 2018, just when Andrés Manuel López Obrador won the presidential elections, I had never before seen so much enthusiasm and excitement from athletes.
"She will understand us"; "She will always be open to dialogue because she knows what it is like to be in a Federation in conflict" "No doubt she will be the best", said the athletes every time they were asked who would be the best option to lead the country's sports.
Almost 5 years later, things have changed radically. The disappointment of a majority of people who supported the person who, for them, would have been the best option, continues to grow.
