It has been a year since the Mexican national soccer team had a poor showing at the World Cup in Qatar, being eliminated in the group stage by Poland, a team against whom they played a scoreless draw, Argentina, against whom they lost, and the only game they won was against Saudi Arabia, but it was not enough to advance to the next round.

In this period there have been many changes, some of which seemed to be fundamental, but others appear to be a palliative to reassure the fans and some sponsors.

These changes began to take shape in August 2022, when the senior women's national team failed to qualify for the 2023 World Cup, despite the fact that the CONCACAF qualifiers were played in Mexico, and previously, the U-20 men's national team also failed to qualify for the World Cup and, even worse, for the 2024 Olympic Games.

Women at the forefront of the debate, leading the way to a more inclusive and equitable dialogue. Here, diversity of thought and equitable representation across sectors are not mere ideals; they are the heart of our community.
