"What makes a country really grow is the exchange of ideas," Luis de la Calle, economist, CEO and founding partner of De la Calle, Madrazo, Mancera, an economics and international trade consulting firm, and the expert voice of the podcast La Tajada del Pastel, which, by the way, has just released its second season, told me.
At what point does the growth of a country imply that I can talk about my ideas with someone else? We are all an economic agent, that is, we generate something for an individual good and a collective good. We participate in an ecosystem in which growth depends on or arises from the exchange of goods and services, and also from ideas. If I am very excited about solving a certain problem and I share my ideas, maybe someone else will be interested and we can together create a company that solves that need. Thus, the exchange of ideas involves some excitement and some optimism.
