"A good father is worth a hundred teachers," Jean Jacques Rousseau.
Mine passed away on January 21.
Since then, every 21st I feel his absence and miss him more than any other day.
I still don't understand why the world didn't stop if he was gone and I needed everything to pause. But the world doesn't stop for anyone's pain, it just keeps going and pushes us to adjust.
What is needed after the loss is time to come to terms with how to move on without that physical presence. It is that time that is the most difficult to obtain.
We have already had parties or family celebrations without him; none of them are easier than the previous one.
