"The victim is the hero of our time. Being a victim grants prestige, demands to be listened to, promises and encourages recognition, activates a powerful generator of identity, of rights, of self-esteem. It immunizes against any criticism, it guarantees innocence beyond all reasonable doubt."

Critique of the victim, Daniele Giglioli and Bernardo Moreno Carrillo

A young man who surely must not be thirty years old enthusiastically picks up a cell phone that does not belong to him to make a call to his loved ones, yes, he has loved ones, people he loves, people from whom he seeks recognition and with whom he wants to share what he has just done. Just as any of us would ask for a cell phone to call our significant other, or our parents to share with them that we just received recognition, or lived an unforgettable experience worth sharing. "Dad, dad, I just killed ten people, I'm calling you from the cell phone of one of them, dad, I killed ten, I'm a hero, there's mom, tell her, I just killed ten." This is one of the Hamas terrorists who attacked civilians in Israel on October 7, 2023, the call was recorded in a recording application that had the cell phone of one of the victims, and is part of the collection of material that the Embassy of Israel in Mexico showed to a group of journalists. This material, which is a sample of the horror experienced that tragic day, is made up of videos from GoPro cameras that the terrorists had on their bodies, videos from the cell phones of victims and terrorists, surveillance cameras and fragments that were published on social networks. It is not only about evil, but also about leaving a record of it, while some are killed with weapons, the rest are killed with fear.
