Parinoush Saniee is the most translated Persian author in the world, her novels are banned in the country where she grew up, where she was educated and trained, the same country that saw a revolution that demanded freedoms end up plunging it into a totalitarian regime.
Reading The Book of My Destiny, a novel in which through the life of its protagonist we can go through the Iranian revolution from different angles, allows us not only to understand a historical moment, but to live from the skin, how it transformed the lives of women.
