The President's virulent and violent response against Xóchitl Gálvez should come as no surprise, it has been his way of operating against anyone who puts him on the ropes. I am concerned about two things, one is in the present and the other takes place in 2024. I go with the first one, indifference. The president's behavior is that of a stalker, a bully but with power and the institutions of the state at his fingertips. That should unleash the indignation provoked by the arrogant, the one who abuses his power, the arrogant, that which makes us rage and demand justice every time we see a video of the perfect anonymous person pouring his fury and force against someone in an arbitrary and unjust manner. But it seems that López Obrador has accustomed us, anesthetized us, if he reveals personal data, if he discloses protected information that was in possession of the Tax Administration Service, if he sends a signal of attack to his propagandists, if he lies, nothing happens, we already know it, and we allow him to do so. So we are in front of the biggest bulleador wondering which of the two maxims should be applied: ignore him or confront him. I am concerned about the idea of "ignore", because I cannot avoid evoking the image of a woman beaten by her partner who is told: don't pay attention to him, he will get over it in a while, that's right, don't do that thing that makes him angry. The current advice would be: get out of there running, denounce him and put him in the can, because we know that the rapist does not stop being a rapist, that his actions are aggravated and can be deadly. Why then do we continue to deliberate on the option of doing nothing?
