Establishing that Mexico will continue its participation in the PISA (Program for International Student Assessment) test of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in 2025 along with 90 countries is a decision that corresponds to the next government of the Republic, so the leak of a letter from the creator of this international test, aims more to commit the next administration from now on.
The lack of criteria based on a State policy to measure, know results, define actions for improvement and remeasure results has been a constant within the Ministry of Public Education (SEP) for the last five years.
Today, in addition to this, there is the political situation in Mexico. We are in the middle of the presidential succession process and at this point, with the experience of almost 25 years of participating in this instrument, the debate is no longer whether to do it or not, it should automatically be taken as part of a State policy.
