SNTE and CNTE: masters of the electoral operation

Mexican teachers are once again agents of mobilization, promotion and operators of a presidential election, in spite of the fact that for almost 25 years they were accused of being used for this purpose. This time, it is not Elba Esther Gordillo Morales who is the elector and operator of the teachers, but the teachers are once again at the center of the presidential election, promoted from the National Palace.

The temptation to have the corporate vote is repeated. Political agreements allowed the leader of the National Union of Education Workers (SNTE), Alfonso Cepeda Salas to be included in the list of plurinominal senators of the party of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador: National Regeneration Movement (Movimiento de Regeneración Nacional).

This is the ratification of the way in which the leader of more than one million teachers has acted towards the federal government at a time when the benefits of salaries and benefits were unequal, the protests for payments that are still pending, the educational reform that continues to sanction through the evaluation.
