In six more weeks we will see more than 15 million young first-time voters arrive at the polls, who are at the same time the fruit of Mexican democracy after 24 years of political alternation, and observing their preferences will be one of the first lessons of Mexico's incipient democracy.

What can be glimpsed in this generation born between 2001 and 2006 is not different from those who today are the majority in the electoral roll and were formed under the practices of the single party.

In these years, despite the change of rules and the presence of a better referee, many of the political actors did not change, the worst thing is that neither did other practices of the parties, such as violence among candidates, stiff characters, the same candidates as always and only changed their shirts, jumping from one option to another when they were not nominated by their political mentors.

Women at the forefront of the debate, leading the way to a more inclusive and equitable dialogue. Here, diversity of thought and equitable representation across sectors are not mere ideals; they are the heart of our community.
