This September 1st, two agglomerations that represent the state in which our country finds itself coincided.

On the one hand, thousands of university students, accompanied by members of the federal judiciary and their professors and alumni, came out to demand a halt to the reform of the judiciary. Throughout the streets of the country we heard slogans that speak of the importance of having impartial, competent judges who are not selected by direct vote or raffles. We saw students from UNAM, La Salle, ITAM, Libre de Derecho, CIDE, IBERO, among other universities, demanding a reform that brings justice closer to those who need it most, a reform built taking into account all voices; in short, a reform based on evidence, not an ill-conceived and ill-considered simulation.

Women at the forefront of the debate, leading the way to a more inclusive and equitable dialogue. Here, diversity of thought and equitable representation across sectors are not mere ideals; they are the heart of our community.
