The past generates depression, the future anxiety and the present? For the present we have several phrases that you have surely heard in different circumstances: The present is just that, a present, a gift. You have to live in the present. Live in the here and now. And variations of the same. Have you tried it? It is one of the most difficult exercises to do. Closing our eyes, breathing and thinking specifically about the present is an activity that is constantly interrupted by our mind that kindly and solicitously presents us with images of our past, as well as pending future, on a constant basis. I am going to reveal to you a small and simple secret, so that the next time someone tells you: live in the here and now, respond with an enigmatic smile, it has to be a mysterious and wise smile, so that the impact is greater, and accompany that smile with these two words: I do.

Here the revelation: the body, physiology, metabolism, cellular biochemical exchanges, systems and communication between organs exists exclusively in the present. We don't have to do anything but exist and have a body to be in the present. You may or may not close your eyes, I do recommend breathing because oxygen is essential for the body to live, and no specific breathing is required, just constant breathing. Repeating a word or phrase, seeing thoughts pass, putting the body in a certain position or making a mudra (gesture) with the hands, nothing is necessary to live in the here and now.
