Where does conscience begin and indifference end? Could you live happily knowing that a few meters from your home there is a factory of evil dedicated to torture, humiliation and calcination of millions of people just because of who they are? Would you recover and use the clothes and belongings of those who die there? Would you celebrate a birthday while your neighbors suffer the unspeakable? Would you cover your children with denial, thus detaching them from their status of humanity?
Although the answer may seem obvious, it is very difficult to answer yes or no. We will never know what we are capable of if we do not face the dilemma in real times and spaces. Judging is easy; taking action is complicated, which is perhaps why there are many more movies than actions that honor our role as human beings and equals.
