Incredibly, Mexico City is the youngest state in the country, and the one that has been electing its governors by direct vote for the least amount of time. Today we know that many want to be the Head of Government of what is the nation's capital, and therefore, the seat of political and economic power. It is not for less, since the CDMX could be the previous step to reach the presidency.

Until just a few years ago, since 1997, this district went from being administered by a regent appointed by the President of the Republic to a territory with its own political life where its inhabitants can fully exercise their citizens' rights and democratically elect their ruler.

Women at the forefront of the debate, leading the way to a more inclusive and equitable dialogue. Here, diversity of thought and equitable representation across sectors are not mere ideals; they are the heart of our community.
