In order to save any last minute claims from the United States and Canada on competition or telecommunications issues, the deputies had to adjust the ruling for the disappearance of autonomous bodies, rescuing at least some functions of the IFT and the Cofece. Straightening out the mess fourth by 12 o'clock.

Under normal conditions, the official majority, as we know it, would not have accepted even to move a point or comma, but the legislative assassination is already beginning to be noticed from the outside, the Morena legislators and their allies act as if we were really a self-sufficient country or with thousands of commercial partners the size of the United States or Canada. Or as if we were going to be invited to the BRICS.

It was not a miracle or a reflection, but at least two bodies that come in the package of seven, including the INAI, will not be completely dissolved, in fact Morena presented a reservation to create a decentralized body attached to the Ministry of Economy so as not to advance the piñata to President-elect Donald Trump, who has already threatened with a review of the trilateral agreement.

It is important to remember that an independent regulator is essential to comply with Articles 18.17 and 21.1 of the T-MEC, which establishes that regulatory agencies must be impartial and not be accountable to public telecommunications service providers. This independence is essential for regulatory decisions to respond exclusively to technical criteria, strengthening certainty and avoiding conflicts of interest. But they did not even know this until the leader of the Morenista bench, Ricardo Monreal, announced the presentation of the aforementioned reservation, so as not to breach the agreements Mexico has signed.

On the other hand, they legislate like zombies. In the reservation to the opinion that I am talking about, there is a term of 180 days for the approval of the secondary laws; but it turns out and highlights that the regulatory bodies are eliminated by common sense at the time of the entry into force of the decree after the legislative process is completed, passing through the Senate. There will be an absence of these regulatory bodies that they decided to preserve, generating a regulatory vacuum, which could even lead to a paralysis of the telecommunications and broadcasting industry.

In other words, the preponderant companies would have a blank check during this period to do whatever they want, displace participants in the sector and abuse users, and if that were not enough, concessions and authorizations could not be granted during this period.

At least, if you don't care about free competition, I leave you with the concern of the first 100 days of Donald Trump's government, giving you reasons or the Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau's hints that he is not very encouraged to be part of a trade agreement with Mexico and only with the United States.

That same day of the discussion and vote in the Chamber of Deputies to approve the simplification of the public administration, Marcelo Ebrard, Secretary of Economy and Altagracia Gómez, Coordinator of the Business Advisory Council (CAE) and close to President Sheinbaum, met at the Capital restaurant as a source informed me. Is there concern in the economic sector about the thoughtless decisions made from Congress? Causalities in these types of matters do not exist.

At least if they don't care about democracy, they should at least care a little bit about not driving the economy to the precipice. What a legislative oversight!

And regarding the INAI that there was no way or foreign pressure to save itself, it hurts me as a journalist, I doubt that the Public Function wants to give us something that affects their interests, and what I do believe will happen is that the pro-government communicators will be released the necessary information, to use this as a political weapon against anyone who dares to criticize this government. Remember that President Sheinbaum said that all this information is not going to disappear, what will they do with it? I'll charge you with it.
