Every Sunday, Mila (Whippet), Nico (mini wirehairs) and I get up early to go to the park. Immediately we arrive, we feel a connection with nature. The trees rustle, the birds chirp and feed us. We continue walking and, on the right side, we find a group of 30-35 people meditating with Gregorian chants and Tibetan singing bowls. There, without a doubt, we entered zen mode. We continued on our way to Mila's favorite spot as we walked through the forest. We come across the Papantla dancers and their beautiful air instruments, some zumba classes and even a boy scout club. Everywhere, there are dogs of different types, colors and sizes, strollers with babies and children playing in peace and freedom, just like the dogs. There are also many athletes running or couples lying on the grass, falling more in love with the blue sky and the leaves that move to the rhythm of the air, which gives us oxygen and makes us forget that we are in this city.

Mexico City has variety everywhere. On Sundays we choose to reconnect with nature, but we also love, from time to time, to go to the Lagunilla to see antiques and even have a few gomichelas. We can't forget the many beautiful and incredible museums, or if you have children, go to the boats in Chapultepec, the Auditorium, the Zoo or the Botanical Garden, the Zócalo or the Alameda. Our CDMX is full of spaces that offer us everything. Even if you enter the bike circuit on the last Sunday of the month, you can discover a different city. Street closures allow you to experience a metropolis hand in hand, at ground level and in safety.

We are millions in this diverse space, but small for what it contains on a daily basis. Let us understand how fortunate we are to live in this city, which is the most cared for in the country, because of what it represents and because it houses embassies, the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate, the Judiciary, etc.

The country is in flames. What used to be the Federal District is already beginning to feel the ravages, but never as in other states. I am grateful to live in one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world, with friendly people who welcome you, with respect for diversity and with freedom, although less and less security.

We only need to create a strong community to demand that it be a city as it deserves, because it has everything. Let's hope that someday we can unite our voices to improve and evolve as a first world city.

It sounds complicated because of the enormous difference in conditions and opportunities, but I believe that if we insist, each one of us in our own corner, that things are done well, we can improve. We must file complaints, today it is very easy to do it digitally, and follow up on them. It is true that neither the government nor the mayor's offices have eyes everywhere. Let's not only complain, I insist, let's be participants in the complaints or signals, as well as in the needs. In other words, if you see a pothole, don't just complain, file a complaint and follow the process until it is resolved. Only hand in hand with the authorities, watching and demanding as inhabitants of this beautiful capital, there will be an improvement.

I love you, CDMX.
