Unpopular things I want to say

"We live in a complicated time", is the most common place to start a text. Now, in the 19th century, in 1938; always. I am referring in particular to the freedom with which we can express opinions. Social networks have shown us that they are a minefield. We can say whatever we want, but only if we are willing to assume the cost of being misinterpreted, of being labeled something phobic, of having a ten-year-old tweet brought to us as evidence that we are slimy. In any case, I am convinced that self-censorship to avoid backlash on social networks is counterproductive. So I write this column, which will probably be unpopular.
