How many people do they know? How many would they recognize on the street? 500? 1,000? Do they have a 7/24 social life and know 3,000 people? Let's imagine that this is so. That they are a mythical being (a PRI dinosaur from the 50's) who swears he knows the name, character and some sin of that huge group of people he can say hello to on the street.

Even so, or with the figure tripled, they don't know all Mexicans. How is it then that we speak for them? Mexicans like spicy food, we say. Mexicans celebrate with death, we affirm. The one who knows the most Jalisco people, will he know 3 thousand? 10 thousand? It is not enough to generalize about the torta ahogada.
