Could it be that it is time for women, that it is Claudia on one side and Xochitl on the other? We still don't know, but what is clear is that democracy in this country has not been hurt by the feminine touch.
He gave her a little "manita de gato" and that served to refresh her, after the heat wave she had been experiencing. Because the past was lived in masculine and both sides of the story know that they are at a point of no return. Meanwhile, Mexico is standing in front of the "Y" that destiny had prepared for it.
Transformation or reconstruction, that is the question for 2024, which at least initially has a feminine touch.
Nothing is signed yet, but what we do know is that 51% of the population will be decisive. Because if we take into account that the most important geopolitical principle of politics is territory, then we must recognize the female population as the largest territory that could attenuate the polarization or start another one. It all depends on how it is handled.
Initial speculation suggests that the war will be won in the hearts of the women and their allies and this gives free rein to many to think that the fate of the country could be debated between two women. In the end, however, gender could take a back seat and it will all end up in the hands of the one who best captivates their interests.
Nonetheless, it is impossible to deny that the start with a woman's perfume makes the story be told differently for the two Mexicos that have been formed. It is no longer so rare to speak of a feminine possibility and this is hopeful for a country so unequal that just as it once owed the vote to women, today it owes the presidency to women.
One step at a time to stop being behind and to stand shoulder to shoulder. Because balance is the basis of everything and this is something that the person who becomes AMLO's replacement will have to focus on.
This, knowing that in Mexico women are still subject to a 34% wage gap, when they represent more than half of the population and 54% of the total workload.
This being so, one of the best things that could happen to the country would be for the feminine touch to go beyond the initial emotion, and to remain in the hands of whoever takes the reins of the country, where the dedazo became the uncoverer.
Could it be that it is time for women? Let's hope to escape the tragicomedy.
