There are no limits to what human beings are willing to do to live in safety and peace. Every day we see in the news people fleeing their countries mired in war, crime or poverty. 

In our own country there is a peculiar phenomenon of internal migration.

The exodus from different cities in the country to Yucatan does not stop. It has been gradual and is increasing. Lately, it seems to me that every time I talk to someone they tell me about a brother, a cousin or any other relative who moved to the White City, something they would like to do one day.

No mosquitoes, temperature or humidity can stop them. The risk of dengue hemorrhagic fever, chikungunya or cholera is no impediment. The superficial warmth and subsequent disdain of Yucatecan society, less so. 

Women at the forefront of the debate, leading the way to a more inclusive and equitable dialogue. Here, diversity of thought and equitable representation across sectors are not mere ideals; they are the heart of our community.
