In the lands of the kingdom, the designated heiress was embarking on a tour of the king's vast domains. Her mission was to consolidate the perceived continuity of the kingdom's riches, although in her heart she knew that everything was languishing under the current government.
During their journey south of the kingdom, a disturbing incident marked the second day of their tour. On a lonely stretch of road, his retinue was intercepted by a group of bandits, a symbol of the insecurity that had flourished in that era, perhaps even with the acquiescence of the king.
The bandits, faces hidden under dark hoods, presented themselves not as mere thugs, but as spokesmen for ignored hardships.
