The Voice of Ada Trillo: An Essay on Queer Photojournalism

Ada Trillo is an artist who challenges the conventional boundaries of art and photojournalism, exploring issues of inclusion, migration and social justice. Her photographs have been published in renowned media such as The Guardian, Vogue, Smithsonian Magazine and Mother Jones. His work has traveled to New York, Philadelphia, Luxembourg, England, Italy, Germany and Japan, leaving an indelible mark in each place.

A graduate of the Istituto Marangoni in Milan and Drexel University in Philadelphia, Trillo is a member of The Diversify Photo Community. She was recently awarded the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation Fellowship in Photography, a distinction that celebrates her exceptional talent and dedication.

In addition, he reflects in his work an active resistance to the oppressive system and a commitment to information transparency, translating the deepest and healthiest truth through art. His artistic approach is a clear example of how art can be a powerful form of visual protest and a means to illuminate the darkest social realities.
