Emotions have been a subject of philosophical interest since ancient times, and various philosophers have explored their nature, their raison d'être and their influence on human life. In our emotions lies immense power, and we are unaccustomed to nurturing our life experience from them. I think the two main factors why we do not do so are the desire for control and the fear of intensity.

The desire to control our emotions comes from the need to have a good social behavior and thus be part of the group to which we belong. However, we have become confused and fail to differentiate between the control of our actions based on what we feel and the desire to control what we feel. These are two completely different and independent things. However, we have mixed them up, which leads us to want to control what we feel regardless of whether we act accordingly or not. And therein lies our main problem in our relationship with emotions.
