Donald Trump will take office as president of the United States with one of the biggest victories in the neighboring country to the north. The chambers will be dominated by Republicans, there will be right-wing and extreme right-wing politicians in the cabinet of the billionaire, the new government will reverse the fight for abortion rights, sexual identity and freedoms that until now Americans took for granted.

As it is already known, upon becoming president one of his first actions will be the deportation of thousands of irregular migrants, especially those suffering from any disease. It is clear that the blond orange-skinned man does not care what thousands of people may suffer as a result of his actions. But what is absolutely incomprehensible is that the president of Mexico keeps saying that she has "a plan" that she will implement in case of the exodus of thousands of migrants, but makes it clear that she is going to wait to see what Trump does. Really?

The newly arrived president is not bloviating, that is the first thing Sheinbaum should have taken into account for months, moreover, since the campaign Trump has warned what he will do on the first day of his presidency and the Mexican president instead of being proactive and start acting to receive migrants, prefers to wait to see if with a stroke of luck, Trump takes pity and does not get down to work to deport thousands of people. Is the president optimistic? Either she is naïve, incredulous or simply does not know what to do even though she has plans for everything. Plan Mexico, Plan for Acapulco, Plan for migration, Plan for the dead man's hand... but politicians, especially heads of state are not known for their plans but for their deeds.

Despite what Sheinbaum says, insecurity is rising like crazy in the country, violence is widespread in certain states, the number of intentional homicides, femicides and the scourge of forced disappearances is increasing with total impunity. It would seem that the country is slipping out of his hands because he insists on pleasing his mentor Andrés Manuel López Obrador. In addition, to this is added her authoritarian character, her lack of patience and her absolute lack of grace, even though she wants to look like a high school girl with her ponytail, her countenance has become more dour and severe.

He already got his way with the reform of the judiciary, which comes to demolish the right to justice of thousands of Mexicans, he is behind the Law of Supremacy of the Constitution and the initiative of the bill to regulate the activity of influencers and digital platforms proposed by Moreno deputy Leonor Otegui to kill journalists like Loret, López Dóriga or Ciro Gómez Leyva, commentators like Chumel Torres and all the names of journalists or youtubers of opposition that come to his memory.

Sheinbaum is no longer discreet and shows her colors. She is authoritarian, implacable with censorship, she cannot stand criticism, the traditional media are aligned, as are businessmen and even members of the weakened opposition.

His speech in Acapulco, where he insinuated that all Mexicans should unite against Trump's attacks, was laughable. Is that her strategy, everyone against Trump? And she was not requested for the great event for various reasons, one of them perhaps being her unconditional support for Nicolás Maduro who a few days ago usurped power in Venezuela.

In addition to stealing the elections, the UN in several reports has pointed out Maduro as "responsible for alleged crimes against humanity". Is that what Sheinbaum is defending, an alleged criminal, a dictator? On the other hand, Trump did invite Edmundo Gonzalez, president-elect of that country, is the magnate's message that way or clearer?

Like Brazil's Lula, Sheinbaum will watch the event on TV from the comfort of her home. She has misplayed her cards and clings to defend the indefensible. She missed out on such a ceremony and on being in the photo. Washington's most important trading partner is not on the guest list, but it is on the list of countries to which it will increase tariffs. No one wants or suggests submitting to American power, no one advises bending to Uncle Sam, it is not about showing weakness, it is about having a well-designed strategy, having dignity and knowing how to represent a country of 120 million people. We know that Trump arrives recharged and on steroids. He has no filters and no pressure to be elected for another term. He comes to sweep and with the power of a steamroller, we hope that Sheinbaum does not stand in front of him, not even on her chest.
