Rethinking the role of fathers

It is important to reflect on what can be done to move towards co-responsibility for care in households, so that gender stereotypes can be broken.

On Sunday, Father's Day will be celebrated in Mexico to recognize the role of men in the family. Like most of these commemorative dates, the focus seems to be on the economic spillover from the celebrations and gifts given on this day.

However, it seems to me that in times of deconstruction , the most important thing is to reflect on what can be done to move towards co-responsibility for care in the home, so that traditional gender stereotypes can be broken. To this end, it is worthwhile to rescue positive stories and statistics that give us hope.
