The World Economic Forum (WEF) kicks off every year, convening thousands of delegates from various countries and sectors in Davos, Switzerland to discuss and influence priority issues on the global agenda. With more than 2,600 official participants and 30,000 visitors, this year will be the most attended and also one of the most anticipated in the face of a bleak outlook for the world economy.
The cost of living has risen sharply, investments have been halted by the looming global recession, and there is a risk that more and more workers will take poor quality jobs.
