Do you feel that there are more and more foreigners on the streets asking for clothes or money to get to the U.S.? Have you seen in the media an increase in news about migrant caravans arriving at the southern border or accidents occurring on trains going to the northern border?
If your answer is yes, it is not a mere perception. Since 2020, the number of people seeking to cross Mexican territory illegally to reach the United States has increased considerably. However, this situation has not been addressed in depth, nor has it been treated as a priority issue that requires internal policies to manage it while respecting human rights.
