Tomorrow, Thursday, November 30, the most important meeting of the year to combat climate change, also known as COP28, will kick off in Dubai. A summit that for almost 30 years has brought together governments, companies and civil society organizations to generate consensus and adopt commitments related to the reduction of carbon emissions, adaptation to unavoidable impacts and possible sources of financing to cover the necessary actions. 

Stresses that this year's COP will present the first world first global stocktakingThe first global stocktaking, an evaluation that was born in the Paris Agreement to measure every five years the global progress in the commitments that have been made at these summits. This measurement in itself increases the pressure for efforts to be increasingly ambitious and translate into effective actions to curb the advance of the worst environmental threat facing humanity. 

Women at the forefront of the debate, leading the way to a more inclusive and equitable dialogue. Here, diversity of thought and equitable representation across sectors are not mere ideals; they are the heart of our community.
