In Mexico, women tend to accumulate less income than men. However, these differences become more pronounced as the number of children increases. This is yet another reflection of how traditional gender roles hold back women's economic potential.

In 2022, women aged 15 to 49 received 32% less income than men of the same age according to the Encuesta Nacional de Ingresos y Gastos de los Hogares (ENIGH) 2022. While a woman in this age range had an average income of $20,327 pesos per quarter, the figure for men with the same characteristics amounted to $29,965 pesos. This income includes income from paid employment plus income from other sources such as pensions, transfers from social programs, remittances or property rentals, to name a few.

Women at the forefront of the debate, leading the way to a more inclusive and equitable dialogue. Here, diversity of thought and equitable representation across sectors are not mere ideals; they are the heart of our community.
