A few days ago, sympathizers (and bots) of the Obradocracy complained about the insults to Claudia Sheinbaum for being Jewish. At the same time, the media and figures close to the National Palace were attacking Xóchitl Gálvez for not being a true indigenous woman (who decides that?), for having come out of a marginalized area and having an affluent life.
So if you are not able to provide shelter, food, education and clothing for your family, in addition to paying for the gas for the Tsuru and a driver, with $200 in your wallet you cannot be halfway worthy of representing the people? This seems to be the yardstick with which Xóchitl is being measured. Her origin, her way of speaking, her clothing, her means of transportation, her childhood of deprivation, even her entrepreneurship! These mockeries have been made in verbal and written form, mainly, but they have also reached my terrain: the Political Cartoon.
