The data and the reaction has been repeated for 32 consecutive months: Banco de México announces that the amount of remittances has increased and President López Obrador dedicates a warm message of thanks to them for their contribution to the Mexican economy. No wonder, during 2022, the income from remittances from abroad broke another record, reaching 58,497 million dollars. Of this total, 95.5% came from the United States (55,863 million dollars).
The year-over-year increase was 13.4%, about the same as the increase in migrants' incomes on the other side of the border.
