Every day 15 Mexicans are born with cerebral palsy. This is as brutal as it is unprecedented.
It was only in June 2023 that the first formal study on the incidence of this disability in our country was published, and undoubtedly the most serious study carried out in Latin America.
The data becomes much more powerful if we review and compare with global statistics: in Mexico the incidence rate of cerebral palsy is 4.4 births per 1,000, while the global average is 2 to 3. This means that we have 50% more prevalence within our borders.
