The migration phenomenon has changed. The routes, the caravans, the destination countries, even the ages. Did you know that in the last decade the number of Mexicans crossing the border into the United States has dropped and the age at which they decide to emigrate has increased significantly? In the last five years alone, the volume of people going north has decreased and the number of Mexicans who decide to return voluntarily has increased. 

This was reported by the Center for Latin American Monetary Studies (CEMLA) just as President Andrés Manuel López Obrador called on neighboring countries to address the migration crisis in Palenque.
