Renegotiate or revise?

"The Sunset Clause of the T-MEC could not be clearer, it is textual like the metaphor of the sunset: it disappears and reappears. The treaty can disappear," a former member of the Cuarto de Junto, who worked closely with the Carlos Salinas government from the private sector in 1993, told me. 

I kept that phrase because since she won the elections and, especially after the appointment of Marcelo Ebrard as Secretary of Economy, Claudia Sheinbaum has focused her discourse on the verb 'revise', dismissing the other verb, the one that worries, which is 'renegotiate'. 

 'We are also at a particular juncture: 1) we became the main partner of the United States (surpassing China and Canada) and 2) there are increasing signs of Donald Trump's return to the White House.
