These are sad days for Mexico and yes, we are in distress.
I don't know about you, but I do have the feeling that truth, transparency, the defense of human rights and the challenge of building better. I saw it coming and I said it, I do not bloviate, it is true.
In a month and a half, Claudia Sheinbaum has done much of what López Obrador longed for: a single party, with single power and decision. With the super power to manipulate the legislative and judicial branches at will.
He was complied with. And although he is no longer visible in the National Palace, the facts, the voices and the decisions are still his.
The idea that we all arrive, that she is in charge, that she decides and has absolute power, is a bloviation.
When López Obrador used to say "to hell with the institutions", it was taken as a joke, he did not bloviate, he complied and sent them to hell, not all of them, he had to move on from his six-year term and ensure that the successor would be a convenient piece for his plans.
When they said that Claudia Sheinbaum would be different, that when she took the reins of the country her hand and power would be noticed, that she would be moderate and capable of rebuilding this country, they bluffed. It did not happen.
When they said that the Morena senators would be unable to reelect Rosario Piedra Ibarra, because within the party there was strong criticism to her management and Fernandez Noroña repeated that they already had a political agreement, he was not bluffing, it was true, they had it and the obstacle stone remains in the National Commission of Human Rights.
His administration was based on protection of the government, defense of militarization and lack of protection for citizens such as children with cancer who begged for their medicines.
She was the worst evaluated and still managed to stay in office. Her tenure is meant to defend Serena on her abuses and anyone in the 4T who is in danger of being exposed for her mismanagement, if it is to defend a society. We are helpless and now we know it.
When they said that they would not be able to destroy INAI, that it was just a show of power and political pressure, they were wrong, transparency will be used by the government. They will be judge and jury, what could go wrong?
Donald Trump was bloviating with expelling all undocumented migrants from his country and now, he will have a second chance, he does not seem to be bloviating, the signs he has left along the way and the appointments of his key officials in the immigration fight put into perspective that very difficult months are coming for the border states, today almost 6 million Mexicans are at risk.
Since September, Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, had been warning that he had nuclear weapons and that he would use them against Ukraine and against the countries that help him with weapons or money. And although he has not yet complied, we cannot remain with the idea that this is an empty threat, it is real that the world is facing an escalation of war of unimaginable proportions.
I believe Putin does not bloviate and his dictatorial streak should never be scorned.
The risks of blogging... is that they come true, of those that today have us helpless and with a bad taste in our mouths, because we know that it does not come better.
The only consolation is that today those of Morena see those who think against them as "bloggers"... do not trust, in one of those from where we are we could surprise and finally change for a better history. I am not blogging either. It will happen.
