Rest: a moment of mental and physical pause, it is mandatory, constitutional and legal.

Guilt: feeling of not doing the right thing and assuming responsibilities... that do not correspond.

Vacation: a word forbidden by those incapable of recognizing that someone deserves to disconnect from their work.

I have always thought that we live two lives, the real one and the one we create for ourselves to survive in the face of what hurts, bothers or burdens us.

My therapist insists that both lives are real, only one is used to function better in society.

That life, the one we build and tame using our personality, learning and character allows us to assume roles and remain equanimous without losing proportion of the educated, the responsible, the urgent, the important and the transcendent.
